அதிகாரம் : 10 இனியவை கூறல் முகவுரை Chapter : 10 Amiability Preface

	மனிதர்கள் அன்பைப் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளவும், மனதில் எண்ணியதை வெளிப்படுத்தவும் இனிமையான உரையாடல் முக்கியமாகின்றது. எனவே விருந்தோம்பலின் தொடர்ச்சியாய், உரையாடலில் இன்சொல் கூறுவதன் அவசியத்தை இங்கே பேசுகின்றார். அகத்தின்பால் இருக்கும் அன்பை முகம் காட்டிவிட, முகந்திரிந்து பார்த்தாலே வாடிவிடக் கூடிய மனித இயல்பில், பேசும் மொழி கடுமையாகி விட்டாலோ, சுடு சொற்களைக் கொட்டிவிட்டாலோ அவை ஆறாக் காயங்களை ஏற்படுத்திவிடுமல்லவா? எனவே இனிமையான பேச்சு, இனிய சொற்கள் என்பது மிக அவசியம்.
இனிமையே யாரும் விரும்பத்தக்கது, இணக்கமானது. அன்போடு கூடிய இனிய வார்த்தைகள் ஆறுதல் அளிக்கும். இன்னும் பேச மாட்டார்களா என்று ஏங்க வைக்காதா? கேட்கக் கேட்கத் தித்திப்பாய் இருக்கும் உரையாடல்களை மனம் எண்ணிப் பார்த்து இன்புறாதா? வள்ளுவர் வாய்மொழி என்னவென்று கேட்போமா? ஊன் உருக்கும் தமிழ் தேன் திருவாசக அமுதத்தை அதிகம் ஒப்புரையில் தெளித்துள்ளேன். பொருத்தத்தை மீறிய அதன் இனிமைச் சொல் ஆக்கத்தை அனுபவிப்பீர்களென நம்புகின்றேன்.
