201	தீவினை செய்யத் தீவினையாளர் அஞ்ச மாட்டார்; மேன்மையோர் அஞ்சுவர். Sinners don't fear to do evil deeds but the noble dread.
202	தீயப் பயன்களை விளைவிக்கும் தீயவற்றைக் கண்டு, தீக்கு அஞ்சுவதைக் காட்டிலும் அஞ்சித் தவிர்க்க வேண்டும். By looking at the evils that produces evil results one should fear more than the fire and avoid doing it.
203	தலையாய அறிவென்பது தமக்குத் தீயவை செய்தவருக்கும் கூடத் தீமை செய்யாது இருத்தலே. The primary wisdom is nothing but not doing evil things even to those who do evil deeds to the self.
204	மறந்தும் பிறருக்குக் கேட்டை எண்ணாதீர்; எண்ணினால் முதலில் அக்கேடு தமக்கே விளையும் என்பதை அறிவீர்களாக. Never plot ruin for others; Aware that If plotted so the ruin is only for the self.
205	வறுமையால் தீங்கு செய்தல் ஆகாது. அவ்வாறு செய்யின் தமது நிலை விலகித் தாழ்ந்து மீண்டும் அனைத்திலும் தீவிர வறுமையே மேவும். One shall never do evil deeds due to poverty. If one does so then shall go yet down from the current status into greater impoverishments in everything.
206	தீயவை தன்னை வருத்த வேண்டாதவன் முதலில் தாம் பிறர்பால் தீயவற்றை எண்ணவோ, செய்யவோ கூடாது. That who desires not any suffering to the self firstly should not think or do any evil deeds to others.
207	ஒருவர் செய்த தீ வினைப் பகைமைப் பலனிலிருந்து ஒருபோதும் தப்பிக்கவே முடியாது. அஃது அழியாது நின்று அவரைப் பிற்பாடு காய்ச்சித் துன்புறுத்தும். One can never escape from the sin of evil deed committed. That would ever stay undying to afflict and suffer later.
208	தீவினையால் வரும் கெடுதல் என்பது அடங்காது வரும் அவர் தம் நிழலைப் போன்றே ஒருவரை எப்போதும் தொடர்ந்து பற்றி நிற்கும். The evil which comes for one for the evil deeds made is like one's shadow persists at one's own foot, remains and continues perpetually.
209	நல்லவற்றைத் தனக்கு விரும்புபவன் தீங்கினை யார் மாட்டும் கிஞ்சிற்றும் செய்தல் தகாது. That who loves goodness for the self should never commit even smallest evil deed on others.
210	நல் வழித் தவறிப் பிறருக்குத் தீங்கு செய்யாதவனிற்குக் கேடு ஏதும் இல்லை என்று அறிக. Know that there is no any disaster for that which does not slip from the virtuous path and does not do any evils to others.

குறிப்புரை

தீவினையைத் தீமைதரும் தீயைக் காட்டிலும் அஞ்சித் தவிர்க்க வேண்டும்.ஆதலின் தீவினை செய்ய மேன்மையோர் அஞ்சுவர்; தீவினையாளரே அஞ்சமாட்டார். தன்னைத் தீயவை வருத்தாது நன்மையை மாத்திரம் விரும்புவன் பிறர்பால் தீயவற்றைக் கிஞ்சிற்றும் எண்ணவோ, செய்யவோ கூடாது. மறந்தும் கூடப் பிறர்பால் தீமை செய்ய எண்ணினால் அக்கேடு தமக்கே முதலில் விளையும். வறுமையால் பிறர்பால் தீமை செய்தால் இருக்கும் நிலை தாழ்ந்து தீவிர வறுமையே மேவும். பிறர் பால் செய்த தீவினைப் பலனிலிருந்து ஒருவர் தப்பிக்கவே முடியாது. அத்தகைய கெடுதல் மறையாது நிழலைப் போல் நின்று செய்தவரைப் பிற்பாடு வருத்தித் துன்புறுத்தும். நல் வழித் தவறாது, பிறருக்குத் தீங்கு செய்யாதவனிற்குக் கேடு ஏதும் இல்லை என்பதே அறிவு. அதிலும் தலையாய அறிவு என்பது தமக்குத் தீயவை செய்தோருக்கும் தீமை செய்யாது இருத்தலே.

Message

One should fear for evil deed worst than the dreadful fire and should avoid as it can produce only evils. Therefore the noble dread for it and never commit it but not the sinners. That who desires no sufferings to the self but only loves goodness should not think or commit even the smallest evil deed on others. If one plots by mistake to do evil on others, the ruin is primarily only for the self. If one does evil deeds due to poverty then the result would lead to still worst in the current status and greater impoverishments in everything to the self. One can never escape from the sins of evil deeds committed. Such sins would stay undying like the ever persisting self shadow and afflicts perpetually the self forever later. Therefore the wisdom thus to avoid any disaster is not to slip from the good virtues and not to commit any evils to others. And the primary wisdom is not to retaliate and commit evils even to those who inflict on the self.
