| 172 | பிறர் பொருளை வேட்கையுற்று அபகரிப்பதால் விஞ்சிய பயனே கிட்டினும் அஃது பழிதரும் நேர்மையற்ற செயலாகும். Though covetous seizing however extreme beneficial, it is disgraceful, immoral and unethical act. |
| 173 | பேரின்பம் வேண்டுவோர் நிலையற்ற சிற்றின்பமாகிய பிறன் பொருள் வேட்கையை விரும்பார். Those who desire the higher bliss will not aspire for trivial joys of covetous acts. |
| 174 | புலன்களை வென்றுப் பார்வைத் தெளிவுற்ற நற் சிந்தனையாளர் தமது இல்லாமை எனும் வறுமையிலும் பிறன் பொருளின் மேல் வேட்கை கொள்ளார்; அவை தம்மவை அல்ல எனும் தீர்ந்த தெளிவால். Those who won the senses and have the clear vision with good thinking will not covet even in their poverty of possessing nothing; because of the clarity that that does not belong to them. |
| 175 | நல்லதற்குப் பயன்படாதே பிறர் பொருள்பால் ஆவலையும், காதலையும், வெறியையும் செய்விக்கும் நுண்ணறிவும், பரந்த அறிவும் தீதானவை. The sharp and wise intelligence that which does nothing good but only covets and develops savage and fury thus is only ill. |
| 176 | நல்லருள் வேண்டுவோர் பிறன் பொருளை அபகரித்து உய்விக்க எண்ணினால் தமது இலக்கும், வழியும், வாழ்வும் கெட்டு அழிவைதையே பயனாய்ப் பெறுவார்கள். That who desires grace of the God when covets on others and takes ill deeds will get ruined their goal, path and life. |
| 177 | பிறன் பொருளை அபகரித்துப் பெறும் மகிமை அற்ற வளத்தை வேண்டாமையே நன்று. Desiring not the glory through the wealth of coveting others is only good. |
| 178 | தமது பொருள் வளம் குன்றாமை வேண்டின் செய்ய வேண்டியது பிறர் பொருள் விரும்பாமையே. All that who desire undiminished wealth should do is only not to covet on others wealth. |
| 179 | பிறன் பொருள் வேட்கா நன்மக்கள் பால் அவர் தம் தகுதிக்கேற்ப திருமகள் சென்றடைவாள். Appropriate to their just the Goddess of Fortune joins them that who are free from covetousness. |
| 180 | பிறன் பொருள் வேட்கை அழிவையும், வேண்டாமை வெற்றியையும் நல்கும். Covetousness will give destruction and non covetousness will give victory. |

| பிறர் நற் பொருள் அபகரித்தல் விஞ்சிய பயன் தருவதாயினும் அஃது மகிமை அற்றது. அது குல நாசத்தையும், குற்றத்தையும், அழிவையும் நல்கும் நேர்மையற்ற மற்றும் நிலையற்ற சிற்றின்பச் செயலாகும். மேலும் அதால் நல்லருள் கிட்டாது மாறாக இலக்கும், வழியும், வாழ்வும் கெட்டு அழியும். பிறர் பொருளை மோகித்து வெறிச் செயலைத் தூண்டும் நுண்ணறிவும், பரந்த அறிவும் தீதானவை. பேரின்பம் வேண்டுவோர், தமது பொருள் வளம் குன்றாமை வேண்டுவோர் பிறர் பொருளை வேட்கை செய்யார். அதேபோல் புலன்களை வென்று பார்வை தெளிவுற்ற மதியினோர் இல்லாமையிலும் பிறர் பொருளை வேட்கார். அவ்வாறு பிறன் பொருளை வேட்காதவரையே திருமகளும் சென்றடைவாள். |

| Coveting others righteous property though may offer extreme benefit it is awkward and evil. It is disgraceful, immoral, unethical and worthless act which destroys the lineage and furthers the evil deeds. Also it ruins ones goal, path and the life. |
