பரிந்து ஓம்பி, ”பற்று அற்றேம்” என்பர்-விருந்து ஓம்பி வேள்வி தலைப்படாதார்.
பொழிப்புரை :
ஏங்கி வருத்தமுற்று ”ஒட்டு உறவு அற்றவர் ஆனோமே” என்பார், விருந்தினரைப் பேணும் நற் செயலைத் தலைப்படாதார்.
	புதிய மாறுபட்ட கருத்துக்கள் இவ் விளக்கங்களில் உள்ளன.
விரிவுரை :
விருந்தினரைப் பேணுதல் எனும் நற் செயலைச் செய்யாதவர், பிறகு ஏங்கி வருத்தமுற்று உணர்ந்து “ஒட்டு உறவு அற்றவர்களாய்ப் போனோமே” எனச் சொல்வர். விருந்தினரைப் பேணதாவருக்குத் தனிமைதான் மிஞ்சும். அவர்களுக்கு நல்லதற்குக் கெட்டதற்குக் கூட யாரும் சேரமாட்டார்கள். அப்போது அவர்கள் மிகவும் வருந்தி உணர்ந்துத் துன்புறுவதோடு “இப்படி யாருமற்றவர்களாக, ஒட்டு உறவு இன்றிப் போனோமே” என்று புலம்பித் திரிவர். புலம்பினால் மட்டும் யாரும் வந்துவிடப் போவதில்லை என்பதால் அனுபவித்தும் வருந்துவதைத் தொடருவர் என்கிறார் வள்ளுவர். ஆக, கூடி வாழும் வாழ்க்கைக்கு விருந்தோம்பல் என்பது மிக அவசியமானது என்பது இக்குறளால் கூறப்பட்டது.

விருந்தோம்பலைச் செய்யாதவர் ஆதரவற்றோராய்ப் புலம்பித் துன்புறுவர்.

ஔவையார். கொன்றைவேந்தன்: ஊருடன் பகைக்கின் வேருடன் கெடும். 6 குற்றம் பார்க்கிற் சுற்றம் இல்லை. 18 சுற்றத்திற்கு அழகு சூழ இருத்தல். 30 விருந்து இலோர்க்கு இல்லை பொருந்திய ஒழுக்கம். 83 ஔவையார். நல்வழி: 5 வருந்தி அழைத்தாலும் வாராத வாரா பொருந்துவன போமினென்றாற் போகா-இருந்தேங்கி நெஞ்சம்புண் ணாக நெடுந்தூரந் தாம்நினைந்து துஞ்ச்வதே மாந்தர் தொழில்.

parinthu Ombi, "paRRu aRREm" enbar-virunthu Ombi vELvi thalaippadAthAr.
Meaning :
They crave, long, suffer and lament "No relations to us” later those who never entertained and treated their guests.
	These explanations contain newer and exclusive messages.
Explanation :
That who has never cared of any hospitalities to the Guests, will crave, suffer, realize and lament "No any relations to us”. Who has never entertained the Guests will get only the loneliness. For his or her good or bad things or functions, no any Guests will gather. Hence they will crave, suffer and realize the need of their guests and will cry loud "oh we have no any relations or friends (affectionate) to us". Due to lamenting, however, no body is going to gather again for such. Therefore they will continue to suffer the loneliness says Valluvar. Therefore the message said through this kural is that hospitality is very important to everyone in the societal life.
Message :
Those who never treat their Guests will regret, crave for supports and relations and suffer.
