162	பொறாமை இன்மையே ஒப்பிலா மேன்மைப் பேறு. Un-enviousness is the greatest incomparable eminence.
163	அறநெறியின் பலனை விரும்பாதவனே பிறர் ஆக்கம் கண்டு பொறாமைப் படுவான். That who does not wish the virtuous creations only will be jealous about others developments.
164	பொறாமையின் தீவிளைவை அறிந்தோர் அதன் பொருட்டு அறமற்றதைச் செய்யார். Those who are aware of the afflictions of enviousness will not do the ill deeds because of that.
165	பொறாமைக் குணம் பகையினும் கேட்டைத் தரும். The enviousness inflicts more damages than the enemies.
166	சேர்ந்தாரையும், சார்ந்தாரையும் கெடுக்கும் கொடிய நோய் பொறாமை. The disease which can ruin the owner and the kin is the enviousness.
167	பொறாமை கொண்டவனின் பேராவலையும், குற்றங்களையும் பொறாது திருமகளும் பொறுப்பை மூதேவிக்குக் காட்டி விட்டு நீங்கி விடுவாள். Unbearable by the greed and sins of the jealous, the Fortune Goddess points those with envy to the misfortune and deserts forever.
168	பொறாமை எனும் ஒரு எண்ணம் செல்வத்தைச் சிறப்பை அழித்துத் தீமை நரகத்துள் ஆழ்த்தி விடும். A thought called jealous destroys the wealth and prosperity and immerses one in the hell of evil.
169	எதிர் பலன்களான பொறாமை உடையவன் பெறும் நலமும், பொறாமை அற்றவன் பெறும் கேடும் ஆராயத் தக்கவை. The opposite results such as envious mind's prosperity and the un-envious mind's affliction are worth to be contemplated.
170	பொறாமையால் வளர்ச்சியும் இல்லை; பொறாமை இன்மையால் வளர்ச்சியில் குறைவும் இல்லை. There is no growth through envy; and there is no lesser growth due to non enviousness.

குறிப்புரை

நெஞ்சத்தே பொறாமை அற்ற தன்மையே நல் ஒழுங்கு மற்றும் ஒப்பிலா மேன்மைப் பேறு. நன் நெறிப் பலனை விரும்பாதவரே பிறர் வளம் கண்டு பொறாமை கொள்ளுவர். பொறாமைக் குணம் பகையினும் தீங்கானது; சேர்ந்தாரையும், சார்ந்தாரையும் கெடுக்கும் நோய். அதைக் கொண்டவரிடம் திருமகள் நீங்கி மூதேவி ஆட்கொள்ளுவாள். பொறாமை எனும் எண்ணமே செல்வத்தைச் சிறப்பை அழித்து நரகத்துள் ஆழ்த்த வல்லது. ஆதலின் அதன் தீ விளைவுகளை உணர்ந்தோர் அதன் பொருட்டு அறமற்றதைச் செய்யார். முன் வினைப் பலன்களால் சில சமயங்களில் பொறாமை கொண்டவனிற்கு நலமும், பொறாமை அற்றோருக்கு கேடும் தோன்றி நல்லற விளைவிற்கு எதிர் பலன்களாக மயக்கிக் காட்டும். பொறாமையால் வளர்ச்சியும் இல்லை; பொறாமை இன்மையால் வளர்ச்சியில் தளர்ச்சியும் இல்லை என்பதே உண்மை.

Message

No enviousness nature in heart is the good virtue and greatest incomparable eminence. Those who do not wish for virtuous results only develop jealous on others. The envy is worst than enemies. It is a disease which can ruin the owner and his kin. Even the Goddess of luck will desert him and only the misfortune will engulf him. The spark of jealous is enough to spoil the wealth and prosperity and to immerse one who owns to the hell of evil. Therefore those who knew the afflictions of the enviousness will never do any ill deeds on its account. Due the previous deeds results sometimes the envious men enjoy prosperity while the un-envious men get afflictions appearing the opposite results for the deeds as mirage. In fact there is no growth through envy and there is no lesser growth by un-enviousness.
