Even after one's education If
a person doesn’t worship the feet of the Lord, his education is of no use;
And what did he learn? is the meaning. Therefore, the purpose and the
completeness of education can only be to learn, understand and enlighten the
true knowledge by worshipping the pure wisdom, the God.
Worshipping the feet of the Lord means surrendering to that pure wisdom. True
wisdom can only come from worshipping the God, the supreme scholar. Also the
implied meaning is that the first lesson be humility.
It is good to realize that Valarivan in Tamil corresponds also to the
word Valaik Kumari, the Goddess at the source in the Yoga system and thus
also represents the omniscient divinity who comprehended the source.

In the last verse, Valluvar
said that in every language, all the letters, starting from "A" (Aharam) were created for the primordial God.
Now in this second Kural verse, he says that education is only meant to know
the Pure Wisdom, the Lord.
For the chapter "The Praise of the God" in his book, instead of
just praising and praying, defining them with the reasons is the greatest
specialty of Valluvar.
Through the chapter "The Praise of the God" He makes the deity and
the reader, easy to realize about his perspicuous concepts on the divinity.
His conclusion is that man's aim must be to know, realize, reach, praise and
benefit the divinity.
If one should say with no hatred on anyone: without saying as I am the God
and those who pray me will be benefited, without saying as I am the messenger
of the God; the God which I saw told me to tell you this; without saying as
the messages were downloaded to me by the God, without referring to any of
the religion, he emphasizes his clear doctrine, as a human to human.
Religion is the policy towards God. It talks about worshipping the God, the
procedures for prayer, do's and don’t do's for the followers and the benefits
of prayer etc. Philosophies are the sub section of Religion. They are
doctrines of Religion which talks about its specified God and its relation to
the creations, livings, sameness, differences and their connecting concepts
to nature and it's characteristics etc. Religion and Philosophies are
interdependent. Religion is the path; Philosophy is the yield of the
experience in that path. Therefore, like Religions differ each other,
Religion’s philosophies also differ to one another. But Religions and its
philosophies conclusion is finally that the God is the only one and the same.
Since speaking about Religion will be an elaborate exercise, let us stop that
discussion right away here. Let we talk about it later sometime in some other
thread.
But what I am trying here is to tell about the faith in God, regardless of
religions and about the philosophy of worshipping the God before start of any
work. Liberation is the process of getting cleansed for living beings
and reaching the feet of the God. Scholars say that as the goal of life to
achieve it. Therefore praying, worshipping and doing things by remembering
the God always are the good virtues of life. That is why, Valluvar also
begins his philosophies with worshipping the God by his "Praise of the
God". Likewise, worship in Tamil also means humbleness, adoration and
prayer. Where humbleness is there all become full is the truth.
Catching the feet is not literally clutching or grabbing to someone’s feet.
That means that I will follow the path he walks. That too is a kind of
metaphor. People, In the past, used to look and walk along the single track
in the forest. Because of the hope and sense of security that someone has
already gone before us and that would be the right path. Likewise, it means
that keeping confidence in an ideology and following in the footsteps of its
leadership.
There are methods in worship as well. The right way is to look at the feet of
the Lord within oneself through the mind's eye and be humble to his feet.
Hypocritical obeisance, bowing for flattery, falling at anyone's feet for the
selfish means by politicians are all despicable pretending acting. Therefore
worshiping the Lord is what was said before. There is also prostrating
salutation, but they should be offered only to the Lord. It is good to
worship the elders. But they are all an order that must take place with the
consent and truth of the soul. The truth is that by showing falsehood and
fake humbleness one is deceiving one’s own self.
If it is true that there is a deity in the soul, then it gets the body
language with no fear to anybody. That is, without arrogance but, the habit
of standing and walking solidly will come. The glory of wearing the Tie
in English culture is that only for act upright. Similarly, those who know
the yoga paths will act directly upright.
Therefore worshiping the deity is very good. Success is guaranteed when
worship the God before start of a work.
